Programs and Services

On-Site Programs:

  • GED Program: Free preparation courses held at Chuck Robert's Activity Center provided by CVCC. Classes held Monday and Wednesday 5:30- 8:30. Free childcare provided for students on site during class hours. Learn more and register here.  

  • YES! Program: PCHA YES After-School and Summer Camp Applications are available for any resident of PCHA. Learn more here. 

  • KWLA Program: Held at LP Stough for K5 - 8th Grade students of LP Stough. A hot meal served to every child after school through Feeding The Valley Kids Cafe. Send us your contact information to enroll here

  • FAST Program: Held onsite at Chuck Robert's Activity Center through our partner, The Family Center. For children school age K5- 3rd grade. Learn more and register for the upcoming cycle here

  • Food Programs: Kids Café, Afterschool Snacks, Monthly Box Food Delivery to Elderly Homes

  • Healthy Cooking Classes: AL Extension Program is offering EFNEP classes, which are healthy lifestyle cooking classes for FREE! These are already in session at some PCHA locations- call to join Ms. Harper's classes now! Learn more here!

  • Today's Mom: AL Extension Program has a FREE class called "Today's Mom", where Ms. Harper works with pregnant moms on how to keep them and their baby healthy during and after pregnancy. 

  • Kids and Kin ProgramThese classes are for family members caring for family members (nieces, nephews, grandchildren, etc). This program offers educational workshops, resources and support activities. This program includes a Voluntary Certification Program- why not get certified (which can be used in certain career fields) and get free materials to do the work you're already doing for your family?   • Job Programs: WISE & MISE Job Trainings, Job Fairs, Goodwill Job Training On-Site

  • Education Programs: GED Program, College & FASFA Nights, On-Site computer assistance, Fred Reads Program, FAST Program

  • Family Programs: Family Self-Sufficiency Program, Kids & Kin Program, Financial Literacy, Steps to Homeownership

  • Case Management: Elderly & Family services needs


Child Care

Communities of Transformation

If you're ready to make positive change in your life but not sure how to take the next steps, you're a perfect fit for this program. This program partners volunteers and community leaders with families wanting to make the journey out of poverty. With the help and friendship of volunteers, each family sets and achieves goals unique to their own needs. This program is free, once a week and provides child care and dinner. Learn more here
